It’s been quiet on the blog, but the last two months have been busy making clients happy. Two more patents issued: one for a new percussion musical instrument and the other for a clever sun shield for the face. Many more are coming soon. I’ve delivered several state and federal trademarks. One in particular we won after multiple rounds of argument. I successfully canceled a trademark standing in my client’s way.
I represent numerous small businesses, many family-owned, and independent inventors. I help them secure the intellectual property protection they need to build and grow their bottom line. Patents, trademarks and copyrights in your hand give you a competitive advantage.
Steve, a construction entrepreneur, hired me to do a patent search on an improved floorboard support device. We found there was room for a design patent. We applied. 11 months later, we got the good news from the Patent Office that the application was approved. Less than three months from now, he will have a U.S. Patent in his hands, and leverage to negotiate a license agreement with big box home improvement stores. He is over the moon. I am grateful for the opportunity to make another client happy. This is why I do what I do.
If you have a great idea you want to protect, call or email to find out if a patent, trademark or copyright is right for you.
