2020 Year In Review – Law Firm Strong as Ever, Adds IP Mediation Services

Dec 11, 2020

2020 has been a year to remember in many ways. The coronavirus has proved no match for this law firm, or our clients. We continued to secured patents and trademarks, draft and negotiate license agreements, send and respond to cease and desist letters, negotiate settlements for infringement matters. We can do all of this, and more, online. For clients who prefer that in person service, we met them in our spotlessly clean, touchless, and socially-distanced conference room.

Some of our clients used this time as an opportunity to become part of the solution. For example, some repurposed metals and plastics into personal protective gear,. Other clients, those with computer science cred, developed software for contact tracing. Yet other clients saw this as their chance to finally pursue their American Dream. Congratulations and Merry Christmas to Mike and Michael. There will be trademarks under your trees this year.

New for 2021 is a cleaner, and more intuitive website. Thank you to Cliff Rohde of GoatCloud Communications for his hard work and patience. I recently completed an intensive mediation training program through the Chicago Bar Association. Beginning in 2021, I will also offer intellectual property mediation services. If you are having trouble with a licensing agreement or a business relationship built around a patent, trademark, or copyright, and you do not want to go to court, give me a call.

We are grateful to our clients for their trust, to our business partners for their support, and to our colleagues in the legal community for their respect. We could not do this without you.
